Dean Owens (with Dave Coleman) - Cotton Snow

from Single File (A Bandcamp Exclusive) by Dean Owens

about

Cotton Snow was inspired by a visit to the Carter Family House Civil War Museum in Franklin, Tennessee. The Battle Of Franklin was one of the bloodiest of the American Civil War and the story in the song is loosely based on what happened to Captain Tod Carter during the battle. When the Cotton Gins and fields were blown up during the battles the ground was often covered in a layer of what looked like snow. Cotton Snow.
